FEAR
Our deepest fear is probably that we are inadequate.
My heart is like one of those large properties
which only house a few
The ones people lust for
the ones they work very hard to live in
And I put fences around it
to keep those people out
And they all think someone terribly important lives in there
someone important but rather cruel --
That she should live out there while we are out here
that she should put up all those fences
Then they scratch at the walls
and break in and enter
and take and take and never give
They are all deeply inadequate,
you are right to be afraid.
